Butterfly & Pollinator Care... our foodline: Culture Days
Come learn about and care for the insects that give us our food supplies! We will visit the homes of local butterflies in the Pollinator Patch, Butterfly Habitat and Monarch Way Station (home to at least 20 local butterflies). Lets care for them together! We may add plants to enhance the diversity for butterfly food sources and give you a plant to take home for your own butterfly patch. We are in the Credit River – Hungry Hollow ravine, rich in biodiversity. So, when we collectively act to help and protect this local ecosystem we impact-on many living critters and their survival and often see them as we engage in activities!

WPEC’s free, family-friendly events bring community together in a natural park setting to promote wellness, environmental learning, and stewardship.
At 3:00 pm we’ll gather around a wellness fire for guided breathwork and grounding exercises (like those used in Yoga) leading into the Fall Equinox celebration with the wonderful music of sound bowls to foster wellbeing and community. You may stand or sit. Bring chairs, blankets, or use our picnic tables.
The event concludes when we gather in the open-air Pavilion for refreshments and food.
